Mary Bruninga
INSTRUCTOR
After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Business from Millikin University, Mary has had the pleasure of working with children and music in different capacities. She was the Clinician/Assistant Choreographer for the Pekin High School Noteables show choir where she helped performers sharpen their dance skills while being conscious of their singing practices. She went on to be the Associate Director of the Skokie Music Theatre Foundation whose mission is to educate aspiring musicians in the business of music and provide a state-of-the-art venue for their talents. She then took the exciting opportunity to be the Assistant Manager of the School of Rock in Highland Park where children are taught by professional musicians to play rock songs with a band of their peers and perform live shows at local venues.
Mary has been singing and dancing in various ensembles for the past 20 years. Because music has played a major role in her life and led to many wonderful opportunities, Mary believes that incorporating music into a child’s life is incredibly beneficial. She is thrilled to be an instructor for Music Together because it encourages creativity, play, and a strong bond between a child and their caregiver while exploring the exciting world of music. Mary became a Registered Music Together Instructor in 2011.
